Traveling to Seville, Spain - Nov, 2014

Exploring Seville, Spain

That first evening, most were tired from the day of travel and checking into the hotel and conference.  They all had an early start for the next morning's conference, so we explored the Old Town for just a while before we headed over to a well known spot for dinner.

Beautiful architecture everywhere.

Lovely little side streets that beckon
you to explore

The people love their little cafes.
As they should!

A quick peak into the cathedral.

Moorish style architecture.
A crowded bar with people singing and rooting for soccer.

This is a grand old hotel.  Beautiful inside and about $300 a night.

I love all the terra cotta tones on the buildings.

A palace in the distance.

We take a taxi to the other side of town. The restaurant we head to is Eslava.  It was nothing fancy inside, but we arrived there early to secure a spot since it is very popular, crowded and not too expensive.  It was amazing to say the least!  The tapas were very unique, some of them award winning in various contests that the city/country has, and all tasty.  I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Seville and I know that I will go back when I am in town again.

An award winning tapa that looked
like a mini burger.  With an egg
that oozed when you cut into it.
It was delicious!

This is one of their award winners.  Looks like a cigar.
This was the only one that I was not crazy about.
Whatever the stuff was inside (mushy) was dyed with
squid ink.

Mark hamming it up with his work team.

The total bill was 170 euro, which includes tapas and wine galore for about 10 of us.

Lovely courtyard across from the restaurant.
Full moon, or nearly in the sky.

The women here dress up!  Even when riding a motorcycle.
