continued... Getting Settled in Tunis
We have found a few good restaurants. They are not inexpensive, but most are a bit cheaper than in the US.

Brains in Tin Foil anyone? |
Lovely restaurant in Sidi Bou Said. |
Catch of the day. |
I decided on the large prawns. Yum! |
A neat little hotel in La Marsa that has a lovely patio. |
And then there is Gianni's. He is quite the character! He makes all this
pasta himself. He is a 3rd generation Italian pasta maker. |
The gnocchi was the best I have ever had! And I am a gnocchi fan so I have tried a lot through the years. |
And the tiramisu was the best we had ever had too! |
I have also discovered The Frip. It is secondhand shopping at it's best. This particular frip is located in a dusty field. Most merchants are under tarps for weather protection. I had to cross a garbage area and pass little cages where they had live chickens that they were butchering and selling. But then you make it to the Frip area and there are probably 100 tables with stuff piled on them. The fellows are shouting out what they are offering. It is pretty much chaos. Many European labels and stuff is cheap! The clothing+ is sorted by table into pants, tops, dresses, kitchen linens, etc. You probably either love it or hate it. I just happen to be the first type.

My Christian Dior linen blouse that I purchased
for just over $2. |

Yes, I left when my bag was full!
