Exploring Raf Raf and Ancient Forts - Sept 2014

Exploring Raf Raf and Ancient Forts

We had a Sunday free and we decided to head north a do a big of exploring.  We drove about an hour away.  We had heard that the beach at Raf Raf was spectacular and we just wanted to get out and do a bit of sightseeing.  On the way, we passed through some small villages.  Most of the scenery was either farmland or these small towns on the coast.  A couple of these towns had ancient forts.  We will have to go and explore again because the forts seems to be closed on Sundays.

Hi Mom I'm Home!

This is farmland around this area.
Many olive groves as well.

The beaches in Raf Raf were beautiful.  The sand is white, the water in brilliant shades of blue and the sea breeze keeps you relatively cool.  There are many little huts and palm leave umbrellas along this beach.  A lot of garbage too if you look on the opposite side of the beach.

I need to find those photos...
